Which size wedding dress should I order?

Dresses are custom made to order from your measurements. Simply send us your measurements with your order. It is essential to take your measurements as standard sizes can vary between shops.

Please note as it's not possible to carry out fittings we can't guarantee a perfect fit and you may still need alterations. We have tried to reflect all this in our great prices!

If you would like a custom hollow to hem length please remember to add on 1-2" for petticoat uplift.

Please read on to learn how to take your measurements...

PLEASE NOTE: Because dresses are made-to-order we can't accept returns unless an item is faulty. As we're an online shop and it's not possible to carry out fittings, we recommend leaving enough time in case your dress needs alterations by your local dressmaker. If you are in doubt as to which size to order we advise to order a size up so it can be taken in by your local seamstress. We have tried to reflect all this in our great prices!

How to measure:

Standard length from hollow (hollow spot at base of front of neck) to hem is approx: 45" (petticoats can shorten length by up to around 2").

Bust: Not your bra size! To get this measurement measure around fullest part of bust with bra on.

Waist: To get this measurement measure around naturally slimmest part of waist (IMPORTANT this might be higher up than you think, often 2-3 inches above your belly button, just under where you feel the bottom of the ribs!)

Armhole and shoulders (for 'Audrey' and 'Sophia' only): For your armhole, measure right around under your armpit and up over your shoulder (follow a tank top line). For you shoulder measurement, measure straight across from one shoulder end to the other.

Arm girth, cuff and sleeve length (for dresses with sleeves only): For arm girth, measure round the widest part of your upper arm. For cuff, measure around the arm where you want the sleeve to finish. For sleeve length, measure from shoulder edge to where you want sleeve to end.

How long will my wedding dress take to make?
Please refer to individual item descriptions for this information as lead times can vary from style to style. We recommend you order your dress with plenty of time to spare. As we're an online shop and it's not possible to carry out fittings, please leave enough time in case your dress needs alterations by your local dressmaker.

What colours can I have my wedding dress made in?
At present you can have your dress made in white or ivory satin or in one of a range of colours on our colour options page.

Where are your custom garments made?

Although we would love to be able to make all of our garments in-house we would never keep up with demand! Our garments are
skillfully crafted to order by specialist workshops specially selected for their quality and reputation in the industry (petticoats, sashes and veils in UK, dresses non UK). It is very important to us that all of our products are ethically manufactured whether they are made in the UK or overseas. All of our garments are checked and dispatched from the UK.

Do you have a shop where I can try on dresses?
We are online only and don't have a shop
